Susie MclacSusie McLachlanhlan

I have been teaching in the health and fitness yoga-alliance-australia-ryt500goldindustry for over 24 years, including periods of teaching overseas as an aerobic instructor. My love for health and fitness led me to discover yoga and I have been practicing and studying it’s ancient teachings for the past 10 years.

I completed the Holistic Yoga Teacher Training Course in 2005 at Greenwood Yoga Academy and am a member of Yoga-Alliance Australia, Gold Designation, and also a member of Yoga Australia.
My teaching style integrates Hatha Vinyasa, Pranayama, meditation and traditional Yoga Australiaphilosophies of yoga, and I am also pregnancy yoga certified.
I enjoy studying with different teachers locally, interstate and overseas. In 2011 I was invited to be an ambassador for Lululemon Athletica. I was also invited to be one of the teachers to lead part of the 108 Sun Salutations for Yoga Aid Australia in November 2011 and 2012. I am currently a member of the Board of Directors of Yoga Alliance Australia and a Lecturer/Facilitator for the Yoga Alliance Academy Teacher Training Courses.

After graduating from the University of Western yoga-alliance-australia-ryt200silverAustralia with a Bachelor of Science degree I continued to expand my passion for movement, anatomy and human physiology by obtaining my Diploma of Remedial Massage,Certificate IV in Fitness, and Certificate IV in OH&S. I am a registered Yoga Teacher with Yoga Alliance Australia and am also a member of the Board of Directors. I have been working within the health and fitness industry since 1999 specialising in Occupational Health and injury rehabilitation.
Recognizing that everyone’s movement is affected by muscular imbalance I have developed a Myofascial Alignment Technique to treat postural and bio-mechanical imbalances in order to resolve the causes, and not just treat the symptoms, of soft tissue injuries.

I have Tutored at Edith Cowan University in Principles of Exercise Programming and Sports Massage, and have over 15 years experience working in Remedial Therapy, Health and Fitness.

I am very passionate about teaching people that they can heal their own body and remove long term pain and injuries through remedial treatment and personalised Remedial Movement Training
